MPAA

In Mass Communications, Professor Sotosky showed the class a documentary about the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) called This film is not yet rated. It was how the board of MPAA are allowed to rate movies without anyone ever knowing who they are. They tried to keep their identities private, so they would not be influenced by the outside people. A private investigator investigated the MPAA and was able to figure out who the MPAA board members are. They happen to be parents, whose children are grown and people who have rated movies for longer than they should be allowed.
This documentary sure did surprise me! I cannot believe that a movie rating depends solely on the MPAA and to make it worse, they don't even let their identities be known. I don't agree with this association, I think that those who are having their movie rated should have the right to know whose rating it. Maybe this documentary will help more people to realize the unfairness
of the MPAA, so that more people can get on board to try and fight to change this.

If you would like to watch this documentary type in This film has not yet been edited at google.com
